Invisalign

Invisalign is the newer, invisible alternative to traditional metal braces. It’s a popular choice with both teenagers and adults. The Invisalign treatment involves straightening teeth using sequential aligners. These aligners, which look like plastic trays, can be removed by the patient, but must be worn at least 22 hours a day in order to be effective. We perform adjustments every 2 weeks. Frequently Asked Questions

Typically, you’ll have to wear braces anywhere between 18 months to 2 years. Each patient is different, so speak with your dentist to discuss further.

It’s best for children to receive braces between 10 and 14 years. This is when a child’s head and mouth are still growing, meaning the teeth are more conducive to straightening. However, adults can still receive braces also.

Braces do not hurt when they are applied to the teeth. You may experience mild discomfort or soreness in the days/week after, but each patient is different.

Typically, the top braces are applied first, then the bottom ones a few months later. This is because usually the bottom teeth are straightened quicker.
